Building Brighter Futures

Stability for Students in Unstable Times

Better Days Home for the Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides stable, student-focused housing for young adults experiencing housing insecurity in Greater Boston. Being shut out of safe housing shouldn't mean being shut out of an education—our mission is to ensure that students aged 18-24 have a safe, supportive place to live so they can focus on their future.

Why it Matters

Over 5,000 students in Boston Public Schools experience homelessness each year.

Between 2023 and 2024, Greater Boston saw a 67% increase in homelessness.

Once students turn 18, they age out of youth programs, but are often not ready, or safe, in adult shelter systems.

What We Offer

  • Stable, goal-oriented housing for students actively enrolled in an educational program.

  • Short-term housing for students in crisis, available through agency referrals.

  • For students transitioning to independent living but still needing structured support.
